Add a Bluetooth curtain

Before you add a curtain

Use the Add a device or Integrations area and choose SwitchBot via hub Bluetooth when it is offered. This is separate from the SwitchBot cloud connection and does not need a Token or Secret. The reviewed acquisition supports Curtain 3. Other nearby Bluetooth devices may appear during scanning, but they cannot be added through this flow. If the installed connection says Position reporting only, its motor controls are not available.

Add one Bluetooth curtain

1. In Add a Bluetooth curtain, choose Hub to select your hub, then start Scan for 30 seconds. Read the progress carefully. A requested scan is not a completed scan. Stop scan stops the scan request, not a curtain motor. On web, closing the window leaves the short scan running until its deadline.HubScan for 30 secondsStop scan
2. Wait for the completed result. Under Select the motors, choose one motor, or two you know are installed on the same curtain. If you choose two, confirm These two motors belong to the same curtain. Nearby motors are never paired automatically. If a paired installation is reported, select its matching motor.
3. Enter Curtain name and choose Room, or Assign later. If a cloud duplicate is shown, acknowledge that you are adding a separate hub connection while keeping the cloud connection unchanged. On web, the app says Add a separate hub connection. Keep the cloud connection unchanged. On iOS and Android, it says Add a separate hub connection and keep the cloud connection. 4. Choose Add curtain. The confirmation registers the selected motors as one curtain. On web, you can then choose View curtain or Add another curtain. On iOS and Android, you can choose View the house or Add another curtain. A new curtain waits for its owning hub to report position; the earlier scan is not a newly confirmed current reading.Add curtain

What you should see afterwards

• The curtain appears in your home with the name and room you entered, or with the room left for later if you chose that option.
• If the app shows Calibration needed, the motor's travel limits still need attention.
• Calibration reported is only a reading. It does not mean ALYT motor control has been released for that hub.
• Battery unknown means the battery reading is missing, not zero.
• If two motors were selected, the curtain's representative position does not prove both sides agree or finished moving.

Troubleshooting

• If no devices were heard, move the hub closer and start a new bounded scan.
• If the scan is rejected or times out, follow the error shown and do not repeatedly reset motors or invent a pair from one result.
• Use the supported SwitchBot app procedure when calibration teaching is needed. The current ALYT path does not provide calibration teaching, Finish, Clear, or direction changes.
• Use Open, Close, Stop, or position controls only when the verified installed connection offers them. Discovery alone does not prove movement is available.
