Invite someone from the web

On the web, you can add a person from People. A Guest may also have check-in and check-out fields.

1. Open People and select Add a person.People
2. Enter Email and Name.
3. Choose Level and Home where offered.
4. If the person is a Guest, fill in the check-in and check-out fields that appear.
5. If network presence is required, select the phone for the home network limit.
6. Submit with Add or Add the guest as displayed.

Invite someone from a phone

On phone, only an authorized owner can manage people. A Resident does not see People. If a Resident opens it from a direct link, the app explains that the owner manages people.

1. Open Settings, then People, then Invite someone.PeopleInvite someone
2. Enter Their email and choose What they are.
3. If the person is a Guest, select the stay length offered.
4. If access should require the home network, turn on Only while on the home's Wi-Fi in the Only while they are here card and choose the discovered phone.
5. Wait until the discovered phone is selected, then choose Send the invitation.

After you send the invitation

An existing ALYT account is added immediately. A new person receives a single-use invitation link that is valid for seven days. Opening the link lets them review and accept the invitation.

If a send fails or times out, do not assume nothing was sent. Check People before you try again.

Change or remove access later

Use only the role, stay, and network controls offered for that person. Review the removal confirmation before removing someone.

• On the web, Past invitations offers Send a new link and Withdraw.
• If the required phone is missing, check that it is on the home network. Do not substitute a different person's phone.
• A failed people read is not an empty household.
