Review what account closure means

Account closure does not remove only your own spoken turns from Voice history, because voice history belongs to the home. Devices and integrations are not all removed by account closure. If you are the only member, the home is removed with the account. If other members remain, the last owner must arrange for another owner before leaving.

Close the account

1. On your phone, open Settings, then open Close your account.
2. Read This cannot be undone before you continue.
3. Enter Your password under Confirm it is you. If the app asks for a code, enter the current Six-digit code from the authenticator.
4. Select Close my account only when you are ready. If you want to leave without closing the account, select Keep my account.Close my accountKeep my account

What you should see afterwards

A successful closure signs you out. If the password is wrong, the code is missing, or there is an ownership restriction, the account stays in place and the app shows an explanation.

Troubleshooting

• If ownership restrictions block you, do not try to remove other residents to bypass the rule.
• If the web People area offers role changes to an authorized owner, grant Owner only to the intended person and verify the saved role.
• If the option is not available or you need help with the ownership restriction, contact Support.
• Do not assume a network problem means the account was not closed. Check the current account state before trying again.
