Set your home name, address and time

Update the home details

Use the steps for your device. On web, you can change Name, Address, and Timezone. On phone, you can change Home name and Home address in the This home card, but Timezone is read only there.

1. Web: Choose Home, then open Home settings. Update Name, Address, and Timezone, then select Save.Home settingsSave
2. Phone: Open the avatar, then open Settings. In the This home card, update Home name and Home address, then use the save action. Do not look for a web-style gear or a timezone editor on the phone.

After you save

Check that the home name appears correctly and that the local time matches your home. On web, Local time now and Sunrise and sunset today help you confirm the selected home. Return to Dashboard for weather. The home timezone controls routine schedules and quiet hours, while personal metric or imperial units do not change the home timezone.

Troubleshooting

• If the address does not resolve, That place was not found. Try the city and the country means the address did not resolve. Enter a street, city, and country on web, or a clearer home address on phone.
• If a setting cannot be changed, the configuration-permission explanation should tell you why.
• If a settings read fails, the current values are unknown. They are not blank values to overwrite.
