Approve the visit
- Open your avatar menu, Settings, then Partner service. Review the technician’s request for the selected home.
- Identify the technician’s phone from this home’s network. Choose the visit window and permissions. Configuration is included; lock operation and camera viewing are separate choices.
- Approve the visit. The default window is four hours; available choices range from 15 minutes to eight hours. An approved request becomes active when the technician starts the visit.
Control access while work is underway
You and the partner receive emails when the visit starts and ends. The active-service banner links to the visit. Choose End access now to stop authorization. A delayed email does not mean access remains active.
Leaving the network pauses new work. A two-minute reconnect window preserves the visit; a longer absence ends it. Expiry, sign-out and removal of the assignment also remove access.
Review work and reports
- Open the job in your service history. Review the visits, activity, technician-reported physical work, materials and follow-up. Requested or Unknown outcomes do not prove completion.
- Choose Download PDF to read or print an issued report. It includes verified partner details and their logo when provided, plus ALYT branding. Earlier report versions remain available.
- Acknowledge receipt or request follow-up with a note. This does not approve an invoice or payment. Your home’s history remains available if you change partners.
Recorded elapsed time and billable minutes are separate. Use Earlier visits or Earlier report versions to review older records.
If approval or saving fails
If the request changes or expires, review the refreshed status before approving again. If the phone is unavailable, ask the technician to reconnect and wait for a fresh network observation. Without a supported UniFi presence source, on-site approval is unavailable; there is no location-checkbox bypass.
