Add the curtain motor

Open Add device and use the available hub Bluetooth discovery flow. Select the detected motor, give it a name, assign its room if needed, and add it to the home. Recognition alone does not confirm calibration or movement support.

What you should see afterwards: the new curtain appears in your home, and if it is not yet calibrated, the device screen points you to More → Configuration.

Start calibration from Configuration

Open the curtain’s device screen, then More → Configuration. If calibration is available, the setup flow opens. If it is not available yet, the screen tells you that a hub update is needed and keeps the curtain’s existing settings intact.

Only the home owner or installer can configure this curtain. If you do not have that access, ask the home owner or installer to continue.

Set the curtain direction and limits

1. Stand beside the exact motor and keep people, pets, and objects clear of the curtain path.
2. Choose the physical opening direction for this motor.
3. Confirm that the curtain starts from fully closed.
4. Start opening. Movement is continuous, and Stop stays available while it is moving.
5. Use Stop and Continue as needed, then confirm Fully open at the intended limit.
6. Complete the closing phase, then confirm Fully closed at the intended limit.
7. Finish and wait for confirmed saved calibration before using ordinary position commands.

What you should see afterwards

After successful calibration, ALYT shows that travel limits are set and the curtain reports confirmed saved travel. Ordinary control becomes available only after the saved calibration is confirmed.

Each acquired motor is configured separately. Do not infer left or right identity from a protocol index, and do not treat queued or acknowledged as proof that the curtain reached its position.

Troubleshooting

• If the motor does not appear during discovery, move the hub closer and scan again.
• If setup is not available, check whether the hub needs the matching update.
• If the motor stops unexpectedly, keep the path clear and continue from the step you were on.
• If saved calibration is not confirmed, read the status again before restarting setup.
• If you are on TV, use only the supported Open, Close, position, and Stop controls. TV does not perform acquisition or calibration.
