Approve a technician visit and review their work

WebiPhoneAndroid

Approve a technician visit for your home, set the access window and permissions, end access when needed, and review the completed job, activity and report history.

Approve or change a visit in the web console

Open your avatar menu, then Settings, then Partner service. This is the homeowner workflow for approving a technician visit and reviewing service history.

  1. Open your avatar menu, then Settings, then Partner service. Select the correct home first if needed. The page shows visits, access and jobs for that home only.
  2. If a technician visit is waiting, choose Review request. If an approved visit is already open, choose Change window. If the technician is already active, choose End access to stop service authorization immediately.End access
  3. In the visit sheet, choose Technician’s phone from this home’s network presence list. For a new request, this choice is required. If no verified technician phone is available, approval cannot continue from this screen.
  4. Set the Access window. The available choices are 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and 8 hours. The default approval window is 4 hours.
  5. Choose whether to allow lock operation and whether to allow camera viewing. These are separate permissions. Configuration access is shown separately and does not include lock control or camera viewing unless you approve them.
  6. Select Approve this visit for a new request, or Extend access after a visit is already approved. If you do not want to continue, choose Not now.

When you approve a request, it becomes active when the technician starts the visit. Approval alone does not mean the work has started.

Set standing on-site consent

Standing on-site consent is optional. It can reuse a previously approved technician phone and still checks the home network and the current assignment.

  1. On the Partner service page, find Standing on-site consent and switch it on if you want automatic approval for verified on-site visits.
  2. Set Allow lock operation and Allow camera viewing separately if you want those permissions included in standing consent.
  3. Choose the Access window you want for standing consent. Save consent when you finish.

Review visits, activity and reports

Jobs & reports stays available for your home after you change partners. Use it to read what happened and to view issued reports.

  1. Open Jobs & reports to see the job list. Select a job to open its details.
  2. Read Work summary for Notes, Follow-up, Billable time and any Materials or Invoice reference shown for that job.
  3. Review Visit history to see each technician visit, its state and any end reason.
  4. Review Recorded activity to read the activity timeline and the actor for each entry. Requested actions have not necessarily completed.
  5. Open a report in Service reports to see the issued PDF. Use Open or share or Print if you want a copy. Report versions remain preserved.
  6. Choose Mark as received to acknowledge the report handover, or Request follow-up to ask for more work and add a note. This does not approve an invoice or payment.

Troubleshooting

  • If a request expires or changes while you are open, refresh the page and review the current permissions before approving again.
  • If the technician’s phone is unavailable, ask the technician to reconnect and wait for a fresh network observation.
  • If no connected UniFi presence source is available, on-site approval is unavailable in this release.
  • If you need to stop service immediately, choose End access from the active visit.
  • If a report or job is not available for the selected home, check that you are signed in to the correct account and home, then open the page again.
