Check that Alexa connection is available for this home
Select the correct home first. On web, go to Integrations. On iPhone or Android, go to Settings, then Integrations. Open Amazon Alexa and read its availability and limits. Follow the availability shown for this home. If it does not offer connection, use Support.
Link Amazon Alexa
- In the Alexa app, enable the ALYT add-on.
- Sign in to ALYT in the Alexa linking flow.
- Select the home you want to link.
- Return to ALYT and open the Amazon Alexa tile in Integrations on web, or in Settings then Integrations on iPhone or Android.Integrations
Linking starts in Alexa. There is no Connect form for Alexa in ALYT.
What you should see afterwards
- The Amazon Alexa tile shows Linked to and the selected home.
- The same link appears under Linked services in personal settings.
- Alexa can access the linked home. This does not add an Echo as newly discovered ALYT hardware.
Limits and removal
Words spoken to Alexa are processed by Amazon. ALYT local voice is separate. For room-relative commands, place the Echo or Sonos with Alexa and the room’s devices in the same group in the Alexa app using Devices, plus, Add group.
Unlink in the Amazon Alexa tile or in Linked services removes this account’s permission for the home. Alexa stops seeing and controlling it until you link again.
- To remove access, open the Amazon Alexa tile or Linked services and select Unlink.Unlink
If linking fails
Check the selected ALYT account and home in the Alexa linking flow, then try again from Alexa. If the home still does not offer connection, use Support.
