Connect ALYT on Apple TV

Link this Apple TV

Open ALYT on Apple TV and choose Connect TV. Keep the code on the TV visible until you finish linking.

1. On the Apple TV, select Connect TV and note the Code on the TV.
2. On the phone or web app, open Settings, then TV.
3. Enter the Code on the TV.
4. When the TV asks Which room is it in?, choose the room that matches this television.
5. Choose Link this TV and wait for Approved on the phone or web app.

After approval, the Apple TV should load the linked home's Dashboard. If it stays on the code screen, try again from the TV and check the network before repeating the link.

What the television shows

On Apple TV, Dashboard, Home, Devices, Media, Music, Cameras and Settings are separate destinations.

Dashboard shows pinned items that were chosen from the phone or web app. Home shows the room browser. Devices shows the device list. Media shows media sources. Music shows playback controls. Cameras shows camera views. Settings shows the TV options.

To change the pinned items, open Settings, then TV, then Edit what it shows. Select Save choices when you are done.

If you do not save, the TV keeps the previous choices.

Manage more than one home

Homes approved on this TV can be more than one. If that is true, the home name opens a chooser so you can pick which home to use.

1. Open Settings on the Apple TV.
2. Open TV.
3. Look under Homes approved on this TV.
4. To add another approved home, choose Add another home and complete the link flow again.
5. To switch homes, choose the home you want from the approved list.

Switching homes closes an active camera view and clears unfinished controls for the previous home.

Disconnect removes only the selected home's TV link. It does not delete the home or its devices.

Appearance on this TV

Open Settings, then Appearance, and choose Light, System or Dark.

Light keeps the TV in the light theme. System follows the Apple TV or Google TV appearance setting on the receiver. Dark keeps the TV in the dark theme.

This setting belongs to this TV only.

Routine details and reminders

When you open a pinned routine, ALYT shows its available details before you run it.

Routine details are not available from this home yet if the home has not provided them.

If a routine is available, you can open it from Dashboard and run it from the routine view.

Last vibration and calibration are shown as the TV uses supported device information, but setup and calibration tasks stay on phone or web where available.

Troubleshooting

• If the code expires, open Connect TV again on the Apple TV to get a fresh code.
• If Approved appears but the TV does not change screens, reopen ALYT on the TV and check the network.
• If the wrong home is selected, return to Settings, then TV, and choose the correct home from Homes approved on this TV.
• If a home was removed, the TV may ask you to choose another approved home.
• If you cannot find a setting on Apple TV, look in Settings on the TV app; if it is not there, that action belongs on the phone or web app.
