Link this Google TV
- On the Google TV, open ALYT and choose Connect TV. Keep the Code on the TV visible, because it expires after ten minutes.
- On your phone or computer, open ALYT, then go to Settings and then TV.
- Enter the Code on the TV.
- When asked Which room is it in?, choose the room where this television belongs.
- Choose Link this TV and wait for Approved.
After the link is approved, the television loads the home’s Dashboard. A successful approval means the link was created; it does not guarantee the screen has refreshed yet. If the TV stays on the code screen, check the network, open ALYT again, and use the message shown on the TV.
What the television shows
The TV app uses the same main destinations you see in the household: Dashboard, Home, Devices, Media, Music, Cameras and Settings. Dashboard shows pinned devices and routines that were chosen on the phone or web app. Home is the room browser. Devices is the device list. Media is the library view. Music is the playback view. Cameras is the camera view. Settings is where you change TV-specific options.
In Settings, choose Edit what it shows to change the pinned items on this TV, then choose Save choices to keep the edit. This pinned list is separate from the Home room browser.
Music starts with no room selected. You can choose the room or rooms that should play, and removing the last room sends no playback command.
When you open a camera from the TV, the live view starts muted and ends when the allowed viewing window ends or when you press Back.
More than one home and permissions
Each home is approved separately. If several homes are linked, the home name opens a chooser so you can pick which approved home this TV should use. Switching homes closes the old camera view and clears unfinished controls.
Disconnect removes only the selected home from this TV. If another approved home remains, the television asks which one to open. Linking a TV does not grant new permissions for security controls.
The TV follows the Google TV appearance setting for Light, System or Dark. That choice belongs to this TV.
If the link was revoked, the code expired, or the selected home is no longer available, use the message shown on the TV or open support from the phone or web app.
TV settings and supported device use
Open Settings on the TV to find Appearance, Light, System and Dark. System follows the receiver’s own appearance. Homes approved on this TV shows the homes already linked here, and Add another home starts linking another home.
Disconnect removes this home’s TV link. It does not delete the home or its devices. Each home needs its own approval.
Supported everyday use stays on the TV. Setup, commissioning, Reconnect/Delete and curtain calibration remain on the phone or web app. Curtains show their reported position and supported movement controls. A vibration sensor separates Last vibration from calibration and from other reported values.
The phrase Routine details are not available from this home yet appears when the home has not supplied those details for a pinned routine.
