Before you connect
Open the home that you want to connect. On web, go to Integrations. On iPhone or Android, go to Settings, then Integrations. Open Sonos and read the availability and limits for this home before you continue. If the screen does not offer connection for this home, follow the support path shown there instead.
Choose only the Sonos path that this home offers. A hosted home stays hosted when local Sonos is selected. Local Sonos is offered only when ALYT shows that it is reachable and bound to this home.
Connect Sonos
- Open Sonos and choose the path offered for this home. If the screen shows Connect and look, use it to discover speakers on the home network.Connect and look
- If the screen shows Sign in to Sonos, complete the sign-in for the correct account, then return to ALYT and choose the Sonos household that belongs to this home.Sign in to Sonos
- Assign each discovered speaker to the right room. If you are using a stereo pair or a home theater, keep the room assignment that ALYT shows for that setup.
- If the screen offers Look for speakers, use it to refresh the discovered list after you connect or when you need to check for changes.Look for speakers
Choose the Sonos runtime for this home
In Home settings, open Connector runtime if you need to choose between Sonos cloud and an available local connector. A hosted home stays hosted when local Sonos is selected. Local is offered only for a reachable connection bound to this home. Use the choice that ALYT shows for this home; a setting choice does not prove that a speaker is online or that it played.
Sonos speakers play the audio. The home hub is not a speaker.
What you should see afterwards
After ALYT confirms the connection, the discovered speakers appear in the home. Open the connected speaker or the Music area to check the reported state. If the home offered Look for speakers, you can use it again to refresh the list later. Connection success alone does not mean the speaker has carried out a command.
If the home uses cloud Sonos, the connected instance shows the Sonos household that finishes the connection. If the home uses local Sonos, the speakers appear after discovery and room assignment.
Limits and room behavior
Cloud Sonos supports playback controls but does not expose every local library or queue feature. An incomplete Sonos household selection must be finished before discovery. Do not add another account to work around an incomplete setup.
Primary speaker behavior applies to announcements. The primary speaker is the soundbar in a home theater or the left speaker in a stereo pair. Surrounds and the stereo partner do not receive separate announcements. This happens without regrouping rooms. Message volume is independent of music volume.
Recovery and removal
Read the specific on-screen error if connection fails. Correct the fields or network condition it names, then try again. Do not create duplicate connections to investigate an unclear result.
To remove Sonos from this home, choose Disconnect, read the consequence, and confirm the named Disconnect action. Keep it cancels without removing anything.
Keep passwords, tokens, and keys in the trusted connection form. Do not include them in a support message.
