Connect Spotify to ALYT by signing in on Spotify’s own page, then use ALYT to read your library and send music to Sonos. This guide follows the current homeowner workflow for the web, iPhone, and Android, and it keeps the Spotify sign-in outside ALYT.

Connect Spotify

Choose the home you want to use. On the web, open Integrations. On iPhone and Android, open Settings, then Integrations. Open Spotify and review its availability and limits before you continue.

  1. Choose Spotify.
  2. Choose Sign in to Spotify.Sign in to Spotify
  3. Sign in and allow ALYT on Spotify’s own page. The sign-in happens on Spotify, not inside an ALYT field.
  4. Return to ALYT after Spotify finishes.

If you are on the web, the connection screen may also show the library button after the account is linked. On iPhone and Android, the same account setup starts from Settings, then Integrations, and then the Spotify tile for this home.

What you should see afterwards

ALYT confirms the connection and shows the items it read from Spotify. You may then use Open the library to browse playlists, liked songs and followed artists. Use Read the library again if that button is shown and you want ALYT to refresh the list.

Open the corresponding music area to review the library entries. Connection success does not mean anything has started playing yet.

Limits

  • ALYT reads playlists, liked songs and followed artists.
  • Open the library only browses the library; it does not start playback.
  • Sonos plays Spotify using the Spotify account already connected in Sonos.
  • Reconnect when Spotify signs the app out after six months of use.
  • Spotify may refuse accounts that are restricted in development mode.
  • Disconnecting forgets the library in ALYT, but Spotify keeps ALYT allowed until you remove that authorization in Spotify.

Troubleshooting

If Spotify shows an error, read the message it gives and correct the sign-in problem or network problem it names. Do not try to create a second connection just to test the first one.

If the library does not appear, use Read the library again when it is offered. If the account is still not accepted, the Spotify account may be restricted for this app and you will need a different allowed account.

To remove the connection, choose Disconnect, read the consequence, and confirm the named Disconnect action. Keep it cancels without removing anything.
