Connect UniFi

Before you connect

Open UniFi in the home you want to use. On web, go to Integrations. On iPhone and Android, go to Settings, then Integrations. Open UniFi and check that it is available for this home before you continue.

Set up the connection

1. In your UniFi console, open Network, then Settings, then Control Plane, then Integrations, and create an API key.Integrations
2. In ALYT, open UniFi and enter Console address. Use the router address with HTTPS.
3. Enter API key.
4. If you want presence sensors, enter Phones that mean someone is home as the UniFi client names you want to count as home, separated by commas.
5. Keep those phones on the home Wi-Fi while you connect so ALYT can learn which names belong to which devices.
6. Choose Connect.Connect

What you should see afterwards

After ALYT confirms the connection, it shows the discovered network items for this home. If you entered Phones that mean someone is home, those names become presence sensors. Use Look at the network when it is offered to refresh what ALYT shows.

Limits

• The selected phones are presence context, not ordinary devices in Devices.
• ALYT must be able to reach your UniFi console on the local network.
• A hosted account by itself does not reach a private router.

Troubleshooting

If connection fails, read the on-screen error and correct the field or network problem it names before trying again. Do not create a second connection just to test the same setup. If you only want to stop without removing anything, choose Keep it. To remove the connection, choose Disconnect and read the consequence before you confirm.

If you do not see a result, check that the Console address is reachable from ALYT and that the API key is still valid. If the phone names are wrong, edit Phones that mean someone is home and connect again with the correct names.
