Use coffee, vacuum and watering controls

Use the controls that your connected coffee machine, vacuum, or irrigation device actually shows in your own home in ALYT. Open the correct home first, then open the device, and work only with the controls and readings that appear for that device. Readings such as State, Temperature, Brewing, Pods since reset, Activity, and Next run are not editable.

Open the device you want to control

  1. Choose the correct home, then open Home or Devices, and select the device.
  2. Look for the controls and readings that belong to that device. Only capabilities returned for that device are shown, so not every listed control is available on every device.

Use the controls that appear

Coffee machines can show Power, Brew, Stop, and Target temperature as controls, plus State, Temperature, Brewing, and Pods since reset as readings. Vacuum devices can show Start, Pause, Return to dock, and Suction with options Quiet, Standard, and Max, plus Activity as a reading. Irrigation devices can show Watering and Zone as controls, plus Next run as a reading.

  1. For coffee, use Power, Brew, Stop, or Target temperature only if they appear on your device. Temperature, Brewing, and Pods since reset are readings only.Brew

What you should see afterwards

After you choose a control, ALYT shows the response from your device when it comes back. A requested value is provisional until the home answers. If a reading shows Unknown, it means there is no valid reading yet, not Off or zero.

If the device does not respond, check power and the displayed connection. If needed, use Support with the room, name, and the problem you observed. Do not keep trying the same action repeatedly to diagnose a failed read.
