Connect La Marzocco

WebiPhoneAndroid

Connect a supported La Marzocco machine in ALYT, then use the available home controls to view About your machine, Schedules, Coffee history, and local hub connection status.

Connect the account for this home

Open the home where the equipment is installed. In Add a device, choose Connect something new → La Marzocco, or open La Marzocco under Integrations. Follow the connection method offered for that home.

If you normally use Google or Apple to sign in, note the email shown in your La Marzocco account, then sign out of the La Marzocco app. Use that app's password-reset option with the same email and complete the reset to set a La Marzocco password. Return to ALYT and enter that email and the new password.

Keep your machine paired. You do not need to create a second account, transfer the machine, or share it with another account.

Sign in with the La Marzocco account

The native-account form asks for La Marzocco account email and La Marzocco account password. Enter those credentials only in that trusted form, never in Support messages.

ALYT keeps an encrypted session rather than retaining the password. These steps do not require signing out of ALYT.

If you use the wrong email or the wrong password, the connection cannot continue until you correct the account details in the La Marzocco app or in ALYT.

Find equipment after the connection is set up

  1. Go to Find my coffee equipment.Find my coffee equipment
  2. Choose the discovered item.
  3. Name the item and place it in its room.

One connection can discover the equipment available to that account. Discovery preserves existing ALYT names and rooms. A grinder keeps its own controls.

Use the everyday controls

Open the espresso machine to see its reported status. The machine overview shows the supplied La Marzocco artwork, reported readiness, coffee target temperature, and steam state. Warm up switches it into its operating mode; Set to standby leaves mains power available to its gateway.

The target temperature is a setting, not a measured boiler temperature. ALYT shows Ready only from the machine's reported readiness. An accepted request alone does not prove a setting changed or that heating finished.

More opens separate Coffee & extraction, Steam & hot water, Machine care, Schedules, Coffee history, Connection, and About your machine pages when the machine declares those features. Details contain the equipment's supported settings, About your machine, Schedules, and Coffee history. Settings follow the machine's declared units, ranges, and options.

Read machine schedules and history

Machine schedules are read from the machine and remain separate from ALYT routines. Their times are the machine's wall-clock times. About your machine and Coffee history are fetched when you open that page.

History retains the reported group and time. Missing history stays unavailable rather than showing zero shots. Machine care shows reported cleaning and water information rather than starting cleaning remotely.

Displaying an available firmware update does not install it.

Connect through your hub

An authorized owner or installer can select Connect through your hub in the machine's details.

  1. Choose a ready nearby hub.
  2. Select Look for nearby machines.
  3. Choose Verify this machine for the appropriate candidate.

A nearby name alone does not link equipment. ALYT checks the account-supplied local credential with an authenticated reading. Verification changes no machine setting.

Wait for the result. If the response is interrupted, ALYT checks the original verification receipt rather than sending another probe. A timeout or unconfirmed result does not establish local control.

After the bounded operation ends, check machine power, the chosen hub, and competing local Bluetooth sessions before trying again. A new hub selection requires its own scan.

If the machine is not supported for local control, its available account controls remain in the device settings.

What you should see afterwards

After the connection is complete, the machine appears in the home with its name, room, and available controls. The Micra does not offer remote brew or stop; use its physical paddle.

The About your machine tab shows supported details, the Schedules tab shows schedule information when the machine returns it, and the Coffee history tab shows reported history when it is available.

When local verification succeeds, ALYT shows Local connection verified.

Focused troubleshooting

  • If a hub is marked offline or update needed, choose another ready hub before scanning.
  • If no machine answers, keep it powered, choose a nearby hub, and close other local Bluetooth sessions before trying again.
  • If more machines are nearby than the scan can list, move the hub closer to your machine and scan again.
  • If the local connection is not confirmed, no machine settings were changed. Check the hub, the machine, and the account credential, then try again.
  • If a connection step fails because the account uses Google or Apple sign-in, reset the La Marzocco password with the same email before returning to ALYT.
