Control what a shared household microphone can request

Set and review what a shared household microphone can request in your own home. The microphone can use only ordinary controls and saved routines, never security control, and only the current home Owner can manage the grant.

Open household microphone consent

Open Voice on the web, or open Voice under profile settings on iOS or Android. Select the household microphone. When the home's selected speech workflow is enabled, Household microphone consent shows the current grant and its expiration. Only the current Owner sees these controls.

If the section is absent, keep the current voice path and ask the installer to verify the selected household speech configuration.

Choose the grant

  1. Select at least one ordinary control for this microphone.
  2. Optionally select up to 32 existing saved routines.
  3. Choose a duration from one to thirty days.
  4. Select Save exact consent to submit the displayed grant against its current revision.
  5. Read the refreshed grant after saving.

Change or revoke the grant

If another Owner changed the grant or the device, refresh and review the current screen before you submit again. ALYT does not retry an outdated consent automatically.

Revoke voice consent withdraws unsent authority from this microphone. The previous grant is not renewed after expiry, withdrawal, or a changed device binding.

An already transmitted effect keeps its original physical result and recovery record. Revocation cannot undo a physical change.

What you should see afterwards

You should see the current grant, its selected controls, any saved routines, and the expiration date. If you revoked consent, the microphone should no longer have unsent authority for future requests.

Troubleshooting

If saving fails, keep the previous configuration, read the current home and microphone again, and check current Owner access and connectivity.

Do not use a cached screen as fresh permission. Local wake detection and an available radio do not prove that every voice stage or hosted app path works without WAN.
