Open the actual hub
Open Home or Devices, then open your hub. The page shows only the capabilities that your hub actually reports.
- Open Home or Devices in ALYT.
- Open the hub you want to check.
- Look at the connection and hub readings that are shown on that device page.
Check the connection information
Use the connection readings to understand how the house is reaching the hub. Signal is a read-only reading. Measured is a read-only reading. Access point names the network association. Reconnect is a control and requires confirmation.
- Open the Connection section on the hub page.
- Read Signal, Measured, and Access point.
- Use Reconnect only when you want to try the confirmed reconnect action, because it can interrupt the connection.Reconnect
Use hub settings that are available on your home
Open the hub Configuration card to change owner-only settings. Accepting new devices is a control. Devices through this hub is a read-only reading. LED night mode and Wake chime are available only when the hub reports them.
- Open the hub page.
- Open the Configuration card.
- Change Accepting new devices if you want to allow pairing on that hub.Accepting new devices
- Change LED night mode if your hub supports it. LED night mode dims the hub lights after sunset, and Mute and fault indicators remain visible.LED night mode
- Change Wake chime only if it appears on your hub and you want the hub to play a short sound when it hears its wake word.Wake chime
What you should see afterwards
After you save a supported setting, Preference saved appears. If the hub is offline, that message only confirms the setting was stored. It does not prove the hub has applied it yet.
- Accepting new devices changes the pairing state when the hub supports that control.
- LED night mode stays visible as a hub setting on compatible hubs.
- Wake chime stays available only on hubs that report it, and a hub with no speaker shows it unavailable with the message This hub has no speaker.
Troubleshooting
If a setting does not appear, the hub does not support it or your account cannot change it. If Reconnect is unavailable, do not treat it as a general fix. If the hub is unreachable, check power and the connection readings before trying again.
- If a setting is visible but disabled, check whether you have permission to configure the home.
- If Wake chime is shown as unavailable with This hub has no speaker, that hub cannot play the sound.Wake chime
- If the connection looks wrong, review Signal, Measured, and Access point before retrying Reconnect.Reconnect
- If a saved change does not seem active yet, wait for the hub to come back online and check the setting again.
