What ALYT does and does not process in your home

ALYT keeps physical state, checks permissions and controls the physical environment. Simone interprets language or reasons about ALYT’s supplied context; an AI suggestion does not itself authorize a device action. The home’s resident hub remains the owner of local physical execution.

Where the ALYT application is hosted is separate from where reasoning, speech recognition or speech playback is processed. A self-hosted application or a server on an operator’s private network does not establish that inference happens inside your home. Capture, wake detection, transcription, reply synthesis and playback can use different processing locations. An unknown location remains unknown.

How to understand authorization and off-property processing

Off-property reasoning requires current household authorization. An operator’s configured destination does not replace that consent. Revoking authorization prevents new off-property reasoning dispatch through that path. Local routines and device control retain their existing ownership; a processing permission does not grant new device control.

What ALYT does when it cannot reason safely

When reasoning is unavailable or its context expires, ALYT reports unavailable or asks for clarification rather than treating an uncertain suggestion as a completed action. Existing supported voice and cloud behavior retains its own permissions and configuration. Ask your installer or operator to verify the actual configured destinations and current authorization. What you should see afterwards

Focused troubleshooting

If you are unsure where processing occurs, verify the actual configured destinations and current authorization instead of relying on where the app is hosted.

If a suggestion seems incomplete, look for an unavailable result or a clarification request. That means reasoning could not complete safely in the current context.

If you removed authorization and still expect existing local routines to work, remember that local routines and device control keep their own ownership and are not granted by a processing permission.
