Talk to ALYT from your phone

iPhoneAndroid

Use your phone to speak to ALYT in your own home, review the reply on the Assistant screen, and understand what to do when playback or completion is uncertain.

Ask from the phone

Choose the home, allow microphone permission when asked, then hold Talk while you speak one question. Release to send. A brief tap does not submit speech. Keep the recording within fifteen seconds.

  1. Open the home on your phone and wait for the main screen.
  2. If the phone asks for microphone permission, allow it so ALYT can hear you.
  3. Press and hold Talk while you speak one question.Talk
  4. Release Talk to send the recording.Talk
  5. Wait for the assistant panel to show progress and then the result.

What you should see afterwards

The assistant panel shows the heard words when your home retains them, then the answer. If audio is available, the phone plays the reply. A spoken request is not successful just because recording ended; read the answer and check the resulting device or routine state.

  • If your home keeps transcripts, you see the heard words.
  • If playback is available, you hear the reply on the phone.
  • If the request was only a command, the panel can close after the turn finishes.
  • If the result is uncertain, keep reading the visible text and the reason shown with it.

Type to Simone

Choose Assistant in the Home / Assistant control, enter a question in Ask anything, then choose Send. The answer identifies the household assistant as Simone rather than exposing the replaceable model name. Its badge says private local when the home or ALYT's private local network wrote the answer, and cloud only when a cloud provider actually wrote it.

  1. Open Home / Assistant from the top control on the Home screen.
  2. Choose the Assistant view if the home screen is showing.
  3. Type your question in Ask anything.
  4. Choose Send.Send
  5. Read the reply and the badge that appears with it.

If no reply is heard

If audio cannot play, read the text answer instead. Check microphone permission, the phone's audio, and the home's connection. Do not resend a lock or other consequential command merely because the phone was quiet. Voice settings and history are under Settings then Voice, not hidden in the microphone gesture.
