Find and add Zigbee devices from all library brands

WebiPhoneAndroid

Use All library brands to find a Zigbee model, then start pairing it with your selected home and hub. You can also choose Protocol and Device type before opening the home’s Zigbee route. The library is read-only until you pick a model and begin normal pairing. Each model acquires through its declared device types and the selected home’s Zigbee hub; pairing starts association and interview, not unsupported control.

Find the library model

Open the Zigbee catalogue for your platform. On web, go to Integrations, then Zigbee, then All library brands. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Zigbee, then All library brands. On Android, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Zigbee, then All library brands. You can also choose the protocol and type entry first, then open the home’s Zigbee route to reach the same library with that type selected.

  1. Choose Browse all brands and models or the All brands count.
  2. Review the Protocol field. It shows Zigbee and the selected home hub.
  3. Choose a Device type. If the type is Sensor, choose Sensor kind if that helps narrow the results.
  4. Choose Brand, or search for brands and models by name, model, or alias.
  5. Choose All brands to clear the brand filter.
  6. Use First page and Next page to move through matching library entries. The counts cover the full library, not just the current page.

Check the model before pairing

Read the model description and Declared capabilities before you start pairing. Some capabilities depend on the actual interview, so a listed model does not mean every control is usable.

ALYT shows each model’s acquisition types. Read its displayed explanation; a stale catalogue or unavailable home route prevents starting pairing. Choose the enabled type for the model. This selection does not send a device command.

Read the selected model’s guidance. Manufacturer guidance belongs to the named model or family. General acquisition guidance tells you to follow the manufacturer’s pairing instructions; ALYT does not invent a reset sequence.

Start pairing and finish setup

  1. When the device is ready, choose Start pairing.
  2. Watch Joining now. Opening requested is different from confirmed open.
  3. Wait for the confirmed joining window. It lasts two minutes, and reading progress does not extend it.
  4. If the device joins, note that No device joined and Joined, but has not finished identifying itself have different recovery instructions.
  5. Keep a sleepy device awake according to its instructions rather than resetting it repeatedly.
  6. After the device joins, name it, choose its Room, then choose Done.
  7. Open the actual device and check its reported state and available controls. Declared capabilities show read-only or declared-writable access, units, ranges, steps and available values on web, iOS and Android. After pairing, use the device’s actual controls and readings; a library declaration alone does not establish that a control works. See the related Zigbee controls and readings guide.

If something changes or fails

  1. If your account or home changes, choose the model again.
  2. If the catalogue changes, refresh and select again.
  3. If a start reply is lost, read the original progress or status again instead of repeating pairing requests.
  4. Use Retry catalogue after a read failure.
  5. If All library brands is absent, use your home’s existing guide or Support. Do not reset a device or Forget its devices just because browsing fails, because those actions can remove old pairings.

What you should see afterwards

  • The selected model remains shown with its description and declared capabilities.
  • The device appears with the name and Room you chose.
  • The actual device shows its reported state and available controls after it finishes joining and identifying itself.
  • The catalogue still shows the last valid library until you refresh it after a change or failure.

Green Power meters such as Schneider PowerTag and ELKO EKO01825 use the displayed Green Power acquisition explanation. Select the exact model and your home’s resident hub, then choose Start pairing and follow the manufacturer’s commissioning instructions. ALYT checks the selected hub’s current Green Power readiness before opening the separate two-minute commissioning window; an unavailable or out-of-date hub does not open it. These meters keep a GP Source ID that is separate from an ordinary Zigbee network address, and their supported measurements are read-only. Joining does not create switching controls. The full brands and models library and its guides remain on the platform, outside hub memory.
